Canteen

Our College has the canteen facility monitored by a separate institutional committee that ensures the food safety and solves the complaints from institute stake holders.

 

Canteen Committee objectives-

  1. Plan, organise, control and evaluate the needs of the canteen.
  2. Ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
  3. Ensure the legal requirements of the canteen are maintained (e.g. Shop-act Licence, FDA Certificate, Long service leave and Food testing certificates)
  4. Monitor, and if required, upgrade the condition of the canteen’s facilities and major equipment.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. 1. Canteen Food Safety-

            The Food Safety and Drugs Administration (FSDA) now be monitors food items at canteens of academic institutions. So the district food inspector issues the FDA certificate to the Institute canteen after inspection.

            The FDA certificate has been renewed for five years on

            Institute Canteen Committee will be keeping tabs on for cleanliness and tidiness of Canteen      Also the food quality is checked at regular limited time span from FSSAI licenced laboratories.

  1. 2. Canteen Feedback-

            Canteen committee takes proper feedback from the students of each department and after analysing the feedback, committee take proper action against it.
